Main Responsibility Area Solves critical technical questions/problems across a broad environment. Guides and instructs others and shares own expertise to progress the project. Participates in the creation of technology strategies. Participates in, and contributes to, reviews and audits of programs. Contributes to decisions on technology options. Participates in internal and external scientific forum. Facilitates competence development, knowledge sharing and coaching and mentoring within his/her technology area. Scope Individual Contributor - Operates autonomously in own subject area. Can analyze, develop and implement concepts and solutions as a subject matter expert. Increased awareness of and involvement outside of own subject area. Distils big picture. Makes decisions about and prioritizes own work. - - Manager. Interprets policies. Ensures existing plans are put into operation. Executes and/or oversees processes to meet customer needs. Responsible for analysis, design & development of policies, plans, programs. Acts with independence and discretion. Develops appropriate solutions. Impact Impact is short-term through individual and team contributions. Scope is primarily within own subject area in a function/unit. Actions and errors impact on program, project or function. Key Tasks Contributes to strategy work. Responsible for his/ her own technology platform strategy proposal in the context of PC strategy and processes. Creates technical feasibility studies to propose the best technical solutions to feature requirements. Responsible for planning and specifying future activities through programs, such as resourcing requirements, content and short terms planning. Gives input to line management on long term competence requirements in agreed technology areas. Networking/coaching within own technology discipline. Contributes actively to information sharing and continuous learning within own technology area. Network Collaborates with Embedded Devices Concepting and Technology Management, ### Design, Productization Technology Management (most notably Mechanics & Miniaturisation and Innovation & New Solutions), Devices Common Technologies (Product Technologies: Mechanics and Visual Mechanics) and Category Product Planners, Mechanics Sourcing and locally in the Program Center with Hardware and Electromechanics Technology Management, Product Concepting the Produce Development Program Management and the Stream Organisations. Participates also discussions and negotiations with external technology providers and ### customers as a recognized expert on his/her responsibility area. Qualifications / Internal: Individual Portfolio Typically 8-12 years relevant experience. Recognised expert in their field (depth & breadth). Degree. Environment Carries out specialised activities/projects according to general direction. Influences others to support decisions. Works independently with little supervision while assuring alignment. Analysis of situation or data requires review of relevant factors. Solutions can often be checked and proved.
