})_ zdx\"gH Do you know that the formal practice of what today is called public relations is less than 100 years old ??  Do you know that many CEOs, politicians and industry personalities do not make a single decision without consulting their public relations practitioner.  In times of natural disaster, corporate scandal and hostile take-overs, the public relations professional are the people who comes to save the day.  According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, public relations will be one of the fastest growing fields between 2006 and 2008, that does not require a Master's Degree or higher.  Probably a million people would say they have a career in public relations and the majority is self-employed.  There are degree programs at major universities that specialize in public relations and marketing – and there are significant resources that have been developed to support the forecasting, scandal prevention and crystal ball predicting that the PR pro is paid handsomely for.

Q"i^&FQ I’m working toward my MBA Degree via the University of Phoenix Online (great courses – by the way)… - the section on Staffing was exactly ONE WEEK in the course – and you really only had to attend four out of the seven days!

Do you know that many “professionals” in PR – can’t even agree on the definition of what PR is…  Don’t think that many of us in the recruiting and staffing industry can agree upon what is moral and ethical our industry….p,]9tE i9h Yz;}

!U6xf}1u PUBLIC RELATIONS is a form of communication primarily directed toward gaining public understanding and acceptance. Public relations usually deals with issues rather than products or services, and is used to build goodwill with public or employees. Examples of public relations are employee training, support of charitable events, or a news release about some positive community participation.
