PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The engineer will be responsible for working with the design team, cross-functional teams, and suppliers to ensure the design meets the requirements for features, functionality, cost, reliability, regulatory compliance, and industry standards compliance.
Primarily, the engineer will have electrical responsibility for notebook system DC-DC power conversion development.
The engineer will also lead and mentor other engineers on the team in this effort. Engineer must have prior experience designing complex power systems applicable to portable computing systems, and have prior experience leading and mentoring other engineers.
Experience should include proficiency at schematic capture and in-depth knowledge of personal computer power system architectures.
Engineer should also have prior experience working with CAD, electrical simulation, electrical safety, and electromagnetic interference groups.
REQUIREMENTS:
Strong analytical, problem solving, and debugging skills.
Detail-oriented with attention to product quality.
Hands-on knowledge of debugging tools including analyzers and scopes is required.
Good interpersonal, and written/oral English communication skills.
Ability to operate as an individual contributor and within a team environment.
Ability to lead medium size/complexity development projects.
Experience managing and interfacing with external vendors both domestic and in Asia is preferred.
University graduate in Engineering.
5 years or above working experience in personal computer or electronics components or related product manufacturing, experience in project management.
Working experience in multinational company.
Quick and good at adopting/learning new practice, dealing with ambiguity, priority setting, and driving for result meeting or exceeding company expectation.
