Yesterday SimplyHired announced their job search capability on NY Post and resume service now being offered to the Myspace crowd.

“Simply Hired, the world’s largest search engine for jobs, this morning divulged the latest dish on its budding relationship with The New York Post and MySpace. So what’s the story? Simply Hired coyly revealed that not only has it brought its job search capabilities to nypost.com, the Web edition of the country’s 5th largest newspaper, it has also launched Resume Post, its resume syndication service, on MySpace Jobs.” - Yahoo NEWS$\&SK;n3g"GU/K/Hy

Navigating through the PR smoke, I took some time to check out these new partnerships and here’s what I found.

When using The New York Post job search I realized the primary job content is still provided by Adicio, nothing changed here. Although a prominently placed tab is presented which says “SIMPLY MORE JOBS”, and after clicking on the tab I was then presented with, you guessed it, jobs from SimplyHired. Which is eerily similar to Indeed powering The New York Times as a secondary or backfill job provider. Not a huge win, but any step forward is just that.

Moving on to the Myspace Jobs announcement, there is now a “Post Resume” link displayed, and that about covers it. It’s not an integration or private label of any sort, just a link to SimplyHired’s FREE and PAID resume service. clH3qi Y}e1s

After the smoke clears, I still have to give the cats at SimplyHired a nod for getting relevant placement on the NYP@work site, and more links into the MySpace Universe, because millions of impressions can’t hurt. More importantly, I have noticed a litany of “Myspace Jobs” advertisements scattered throughout Myspace. This, I believe, provides a major awareness push for the SimplyHired / Myspace tandem and might just show the growth potential of this budding relationship.
