I've been a recruiter now for about 15 years and this is what I honestly think.

It’s quite clear that those of you who have been posting on this board feel threatened by this new website and service, NoMoreHeadHunters.com. Instead of attacking Henry and his entrepreneurial endeavor by asking a lot of irrelevant and emotionally charged questions, perhaps you may want to ask yourselves why you are so bothered by his website. If you all feel so strongly about the service YOU provide, then why are you even wasting your time worrying about Henry’s? The service his website provides is different from the service you all provide – hello, Capitalism! Besides, if you do a little research, you will discover that many of the companies who hire/use recruiters, also post their jobs independently . - W0 {' @( }0 L$ G. Y; X" M

Let’s not forget, too, that our country thrives as it does because of capitalism – a wonderful way of providing something for everyone. It seems that that is precisely what Henry’s website is doing – providing a service to that part of the job market that US, the recruiters, do not target. It saddens me, though, to see how so many of you are so quick to attack and shoot down someone else’s very clever and inspired idea, that in the end, is designed to help others. Do you all really think that Henry’s one website is going to put us all out of business, or perhaps severely reduce our clientele? I hardly think that is the case. But, again, it is clear that you all feel quite threatened by Henry’s website, which is quite silly, if you ask me. Honestly, there are SO MANY people looking for jobs, and so many jobs to be had. It is absolutely impossible for every job seeker and every employer to have all their needs met only us recruiters. That is not realistic at all, especially since there are so many industries, companies and potential employees who will never use recruiters, simply because their business and means are not of a level that would justify using such a service. Surely, we all can acknowledge that. I am quite certain your respective companies are doing very well for themselves, so none of you will incur a loss by Henry’s website providing a similar service to these people who you are already not using (and will never use) your services. Trust me, there’s plenty of work and money to go around! $ R% b& ~: _2 d5 Y

Keep in mind, too, that just because you have companies and potential employees using your services, not everybody does. Not every company out there is a Fortune 500 company, or a company that is large enough to be able or willing to pay our fees. In addition, many companies need a direct approach simply because of time issues. The same also applies to employees. In fact, many people (and I’m guessing MOST) prefer to do their own negotiating when applying for and accepting a job.

Also, I am sure if you asked every single client (employee and employer alike) if they were 100% happy with your services, or with using recruiters in general, you would not get all “yes” answers. 4 r, V' p, w4 f: J4 ~

To assume that us, recruiters, are the end-all and be-all of the hiring market is arrogant, absurd and completely unrealistic. Like I said before, there are many companies and employees who will never even use our services, because it is not financially feasible (or timely) for them to do so. What do you say to those people? They most certainly would benefit from Henry’s website/service, as will the people who have been unhappy with our services. And you all know that those people exist, whether your willing to admit it or not. " ~7 B! `$ T( c4 s

With regard to your comments about companies having their own in-house recruiters, I think we can all admit that those recruiters function completely differently from the independent recruiters. Also, the companies that do have the in-house recruiters are in the minority, since that is quite an expensive position to keep filled annually, and not every company can afford, or is willing to pay for, that expense. That’s why our jobs exist! ! ~& \) G/ a- b& d

Personally, I wish Henry the best of luck with his website and services. I think having some competition will certainly do us some good.
