Whether you work for yourself, a third party agency or work for a corporate recruiting department, cost and value is a critical factor in your business. Even if your company earns $30,000 for a placement, the cost of that placement is important to understand and continually measure.

Many of the gurus out there will tell you which strategy for finding candidates is the best – most of the time, these gurus are telling us which is best, because they have some vested interest. I will tell you that they are all the best – when they work for you and your organization. There are no silver bullets - analysis and metrics are the only way to understand what works best for your recruiting efforts. ' A1 G  B6 l7 T, ^5 n, S' Q

Internet Sourcing – Search and Social Networking. Includes Google, Zoom Info, LinkedIN and all of the others out there. Some are free to use and some are not. 4 O1 r8 e4 g1 F  S* Y7 L! P6 l/ M7 G
Mega Site Postings – Job postings on the Big 3 (or 4) career sites. Includes Monster, Careerbuilder, Yahoo! HotJobs and I would add Craig’s List. : [5 q- Y/ l5 h6 g% g
Mega Site Sourcing – The same big three using their resume pools versus advertising the position. 4 O3 w' s3 L8 U. U
National Niche – As we step out, the pool of resources broadens – sites include Dice, LatPro, JobTaget’s Network, Beyond’s Network, , etc.

Print – I realize that this the Electronic Recruiting Exchange – but some of us still use old fashioned tools like newspapers. # r5 k, Y$ \2 P" O2 D

Radio/Billboard/Movie Theater/TV – yes all of these are still used to attract candidates too!
